* Please make sure that your child’s name is on all homework. I am getting several homework pages with no name and I do not know who to give the credit to.
* Thank you to those parents who have already paid the $15.00 donation. We will have our first party this month and I will be using some of the donation money.
* It is important for safety purposes that all children 5 years old and up know their personal identity information. If your child does not know their birthday, address and phone number, please continue to practice these at home. Also please help your child learn how to tie their shoes and zip up their jacket.
* Thank your for sending jackets to school. The weather does vary and we are having some cold days.
* The children are learning our classroom expectations and routines so we will be starting reading groups.
* Keep practicing the homework sentences at home. I can really tell who is practicing. There is a big difference between those children who are practicing and those who are not. Please bring your child's home writing journal to school for PTC. We will look through it together so that I may give additional hints for writing at home.

Halloween Parade and Shape and Color Party:
On Halloween, the children will be able to wear their halloween costumes to school. Please keep make-up to a minimum and do not send anything that may break or of value. We will have a parade in the morning. The children will walk through the halls and the auditorium. Parents are invited to watch the parade in the auditorium in the morning. The afternoon class will not participate in the morning parade. I will walk the afternoon children through a few of the classrooms. Additional information and times will be sent home. We will have a shape and color party in our classroom to culminate our shape and color units.

Parent Teacher Conference:
I will be holding parent teacher conferences Tuesday, Oct. 3rd from 4:00 - 7:00 and Thursday Oct. 5th from 9:00 - 7:00. I am looking forward to meeting with you to discuss how their child is adjusting to Kindergarten.
