A little bit about Mrs. Bethel
Growing up: I grew up in Indiana surrounded by many acres of farmland, trees, and animals. I am the seventh of eleven children, and the proud aunt of 32 (and counting) nieces/nephews.
School: I graduated from BYU with a dual major/certification in Elementary Ed/Early Childhood Ed. and a Minor in Music. I have also certified in the Kodaly Music Teaching (certification program) through BYU. My student teaching was 2 semesters: one in Dublan, Mexico and the other in BYU's preschool program.
Family: One amazing husband, Scott, and one adorable and busy 3 year old daughter, Jodie.
Hobbies/Interests: Reading (especially children's books, racquetball, volleyball, basketball, jogging, singing, playing the piano, teaching children's music, and being with my family and friends.

Classroom Considerations
Your student will need a bag large enough to hold a regular size folder to carry items
between home and school daily. Bags with wheels become tripping hazards in our full classrooms and scratch the hallway flooring. Please avoid these types of bags.
Donated items to share with the class are greatly appreciated throughout the year:
1. Tissues to share with the class
2. Disinfectant (such as Clorox) Wipes to clean community areas of the room
3. Snack items to share with the class for daily snack time (easy to store, no refrigerated ones, please)
4. Slider or Ziploc baggies (snack, quart, and gallon sizes)
5. Hand sanitizer to share with the class
6. Wet Wipes
7. Napkins/Paper Towels
*Items parents/students may choose to purchase for use at school:
1. Colored pencils (12 count or less)
2. Pencil box
3. Black pen(s)
*PLEASE, no pencil sharpeners or markers. Thank you.

Ways Parents Can Help
*Make sure your child is appropriately clothed for the weather & learning (please follow the Alpine School District's dress & grooming policy guidelines)
*Have child eat an adequate amount of a nutritional breakfast
*Check your child's school bag and homework folder DAILY for information, teacher communication, and homework items.
*If you have questions or concerns, PLEASE contact me as soon as possible so that I may assist you appropriately.
